Aims and Objectives
NARHI is committed to supporting the members its members in the production of Home Condition Reports and Energy Performance Certificates:
Representing the views of the Home Inspector and Energy Assessor
NARHI will be a strong forum for liaison with Government, Sector Skills Councils, Approved Registration and Accreditation Bodies, Professional Bodies, Assessment Centres, and Training Organisations in order to convey the views of the members on a wide range of issues at a local, regional and national level.
Information
NARHI will be an effective channel of news on key technical and relevant issues to members, Government, Consumers and the media.
Education for Members
NARHI will act as a signpost to approved providers of training and technical support relevant to the sector. NARHI will also offer similar information to Home Information Pack Providers and others engaged in the home selling and buying process including the consumer by written guidance and promotional material, the web-site, conferences and seminars.
Promoting the role of the Home Inspector and Energy Assessor
NARHI will help the recognition of the Registered Home Inspector and Accredited Energy Assessor in the marketplace by developing partnerships with key sector associations, supporting and encouraging regional initiatives where there is are common objectives.
Promoting the Home Condition Report (HCR)
NARHI will continue to lobby for a mandatory HCR with the Energy Performance Certificate in Home Information Packs and the benefits they bring to home sellers and buyers and the maintenance of the countries housing stock.
Promoting Quality
NARHI will support Registered Home Inspector and Accredited Energy Assessors delivering excellence of service coupled with promoting levels of remuneration that is commensurate with the training, knowledge and risk.
Establishing the Registered Home Inspector and Accredited Energy Assessor as recognised professionals.
NARHI will raise public and professional/trade awareness of its member’s roles within existing and emerging new markets.
Pivotal Role in Implementation of Home Information Pack
NARHI will encourage Registered Home Inspectors and Accredited Energy Assessors to actively promote and undertake with confidence the production of Home Condition Reports and Energy Performance Certificates as key components of Home Information Packs. Also to promote these products to the wider markets made up of the private rented, and commercial sectors
